Making a claim

Each type of insurance cover we offer has a different claims process. To find out the steps involved, click on the claim type you want to make below. 

Death claim

A death benefit is generally paid to a dependant (or dependants) of the member who has passed away, or to the member’s legal personal representative.

Our claims philosophy

Equip Super’s claims philosophy reflects our claims servicing principles and is firmly aligned with our members first approach. We recognise each claim is unique and may involve a range of personal, health, family and financial circumstances and acknowledge the claims process can come at a particularly difficult and emotional time for our members and their families. 

Our commitment to claimants is to deliver a claims experience that is empathetic, supportive and as straightforward as possible. We achieve this by:  

  • connecting with each claimant and offering to help them through their claim journey 
  • explaining the claim process to the claimant and keeping them informed of their claim’s progress 
  • being the experts and taking accountability for the claim,  supporting claimants who are experiencing difficulty and require extra assistance, and  
  • doing our best to finalise claims as soon as possible
