Continued income when you need it

Your pay cheque between pay cheque 

Income protection (IP) cover provides you with a monthly benefit to replace your income if you are unable to work due to injury or illness. You may also be able to receive a partial benefit while you are transitioning back to full employment following a total disability.

If you're a member of Equip MyFuture, you won't receive IP cover automatically when you join, but you can apply for it if you need it. 

Our Income protection cover is flexible so you can choose:

  • a waiting period of 30, 60, or 90 days; and
  • a benefit period of two years or five years.

Log into the website to apply for, change, or cancel your cover at any time. Alternatively, you can complete and return the Change your insurance cover form and Personal Statement.

Transfer your Income protection from another super fund or insurer

You may be able to transfer the Income protection cover you have with another super fund or life insurer into Equip.

Log into the website to apply to transfer your cover, or complete the Transfer your insurance cover to Equip form.
