Important information for all members

  • The Limited Services Period has ended.
  • All members can now access their Toyota Super in Equip accounts 24/7 via the app or online.
  • Welcome letters for accumulation, pension and retained members have been posted and will arrive in letter boxes shortly.
  • Welcome letters for Defined Benefit members will be posted to members before the end of June 2021.

General FAQs

How can I access my account details once I’ve transferred to Toyota Super in Equip?

You can access your details via the Equip online portal or the Equip app.

You can access your account via equipsuper.com.au/login
To login, you will need your Member number and Employer/Plan number. These will be included in your welcome letter.

Equip app

We offer the Equip app on Android and Apple devices. To login, you will need your Member number and Employer/Plan number. These will be included in your welcome letter.

 

What does ‘successor fund transfer’ (SFT) mean?

The Trustee of Toyota Super will be transferring member accounts to Equip by way of a successor fund transfer (SFT) effective 1 May 2021. 

An SFT is a transfer of the members in a superannuation fund to a different fund (successor fund) without the consent of those individual members. 

For the fund to be legally allowed to transfer member accounts by an SFT, members must receive equivalent rights in the new fund and, overall, the transfer must be in the best interests of members as a whole.  

 

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the SFT?

No, you don’t need to do anything. Toyota Super will transfer your account for you. 

What happens after the transfer?

Toyota Super will send you a final exit statement before the end of June 2021. 

You’ll also receive a Toyota Super in Equip welcome letter which contains detailed information about your account and the additional product features and services available to you. 

 

Is Equip an industry super fund?

Yes, but we also refer to ourselves as a profit-to-member fund. We are member-focused, and our profits go back to our members’ accounts. 

Do I have to transfer to Toyota Super in Equip?

If you don’t want your account transferred to Toyota Super in Equip, you will need to either:

1. roll your super benefit out of Toyota Super to a new super fund of your choice, or 

2. if eligible (restrictions apply), withdraw your Toyota Super benefit.

If you choose to roll out or withdraw your super from Toyota Super, you need to ensure Toyota Super receives your completed request paperwork before 5:00 pm Friday 23 April 2021.

What happens to my beneficiary nominations?

All of your existing beneficiary nominations will be transferred across to Toyota Super in Equip.

How can I access my Toyota Super statements and transactions after I transfer?

You will have access to your Toyota Super statements for the last 7 years via your online account. These will be transferred across to Toyota Super in Equip. 

I no longer work for Toyota but would like my current employer to send my superannuation contributions to my Toyota Super in Equip account. What information do I need to provide to my employer?

You can share the following details with your current employer to ensure that your superannuation contributions are made into your Toyota Super in Equip account.

Reference no: Please contact Equip after your limited service period to obtain your reference number.

Biller short name: EquipSuper

Please do not use your old Toyota Super BPAY® details after 5:00 pm 23 April 2021.  You should delete these details from your internet banking account and use your Equip BPAY details from 12 May 2021.

 

How long is my limited services period?

This period lasts from Wednesday 28 April 2021 until Tuesday 11 May 2021.

What services aren’t available during my limited services period?

• Access to the member website 

• Investment switching

• Processing rollover requests into and out of your account

• Opening a pension account using these funds

• Contributions splitting requests

• Voluntary super contributions

• Benefit payments

• Updating personal details and beneficiary nominations

• Family law splitting and information requests

• Applying for or changing insurance cover

• Updating who can access your account on your behalf.
