Managing workplace super

A better solution 

The Super Guarantee (SG) requires all employers contribute to their employees' super. The minimum contribution rate is 9.5% of an employee's salary. This may be higher if there is a specific award or workplace agreement in place.

There are two exceptions to this rule. You do not have to pay SG contributions for employees who:

  • Earn less than $450 in a calendar month
  • Are under 18 years and work less than 30 hours a week

Making Payments 

Equip’s online payment system (known as Employer Online) lets you pay contributions via BPAY. It tracks and manages all payments and associated records, so you’ll also be up to date. To find out more, and please contact one of our employer relationship managers. 

If you have fewer than 20 employees you can remit super contributions by using the Government’s small business super clearing house. To find out more, visit
