This Thursday September 8 is R U OK Day.
Now in its seventh year, the Australian initiative encourages people to reach out to family and friends who may be struggling and start a conversation.
As part of Equip’s ongoing partnership with SuperFriend, we offer a variety of services that help organisations champion positive mental health in the workplace. These services are free of charge, include visits to workplaces, and offer flexible schedules.
If your organisation wants to get involved, the Wellbeing Works program is a great first step. The program is delivered by a SuperFriend program manager who consults with your organisation to discover what you’re doing well, as well as potential areas for improvement. A follow-up report identifies opportunities for the future.
As SuperFriend explain, “We often build on things the organisation already has in place. It’s not always about building a whole new program; sometimes they can tweak something or identify two initiatives as priorities for the next six months.”
Integrating health and wellbeing into your workplace is straightforward, with tangible benefits to both employee satisfaction and productivity.
If you’d like to find out more about the program, or learn how Equip and SuperFriend can help you create a more positive workplace environment, please contact your Equip relationship manager.
