When evaluating any investment decision the key criteria is always the same – what’s my return going to be?
Superannuation is no different. You’re entrusting your money to a fund with the expectation that it will be managed and nurtured to provide you with the best possible retirement outcome.
So how do you compare funds? And how do you chose the one best suited to your needs? While there are lots of variables to consider, the best measure is still return on investment. And the best way to compare results is via annual returns (both long term and short).
On that note, Equip is pleased to announce that we’re one of Australia’s Top Ten funds for both annual returns and ten year numbers. The latest data from Chant West, reported in both the Financial Review and The Australian shows, places Equip’s Balanced growth option 4th for 10 year returns (out of approximately 230 funds).
The short term figures are just as good. Our Balanced Growth option returned 10.7% for the 2017-18 financial year. Our growth optioned returned 12.2% and our overseas shares returned a genuinely impressive 18.1%*
Those are all excellent results, and place Equip among Australia’s Top Ten superannuation funds for returns. You’ll be able to see how your own super is impacted by these returns when annual statements are issued in the coming month.
As Troy Rieck, Equip’s Executive Officer Investment Performance, notes “Equip is one of the best value for money and cheapest overall funds going around. We offer excellent long-term performance, great service and efficient products to go with it.”
“We believe that fees matter, but value for money matters more. And our track record of returns demonstrates that.”
