Financial Planner

Brisbane

This position requires an organised and enthusiastic individual to provide expert financial planning advice to clients, who are primarily members of the Equip fund or their families.

Key responsibilities are:

• conduct professional financial planning interviews with members and develop appropriate financial strategies;  

• prepare advice documents as required, in conjunction with a Para Planner;

• explain and implement the strategies outlined and conduct annual member reviews;

• develop new business by conducting forums and seminars to engage members;

• promote the reputation of the financial planning services offered;

• maintain compliance standards as expected by the company and the industry and the regulatory bodies. 

There is a large focus on Defined Benefit super plans so experience with DB plans will be a plus.  Working in a small team of geographically dispersed planners, this is a highly autonomous role. Based in Brisbane the role may require travel to remote employer locations.

Senior Corporate Growth Manager

Melbourne

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic business development manager to join our expanding growth team. 

This is an internal/ external role where your main objective will be in the development of new business by driving initiatives to extend and develop the employer base through strategic alliances and the retention and expansion of existing clients by further developing relationships.

Key responsibilities are:-

• Find new Merger and EPO partners.

• Prepare and deliver sales presentations

• Develop, engage and expand relationships with tender consultants

• Maintain tender readiness and, working with the marketing team ensure that marketing material is dynamic, contemporary and fit for purpose

• Maintain strategic industry contacts to build a data base of contacts to ensure that Equip is included in all appropriate tenders and opportunities

• Complete RFP’s and tender proposals, eliciting appropriate data points and information from all areas of the business including fees, products and regulatory information

• Develop brand awareness with people of influence at the Corporates who have Corporate Plans

You will have an outgoing personality, be able to converse and build rapport with clients at all levels, and have exceptional marketing and selling techniques. You will be able to work autonomously and have outstanding presentation skills as you will be the face of the company.

To be successful you will have a proven track record and comprehensive experience in a sales leadership position in Corporate Super, funds management, asset consulting, financial planning or similar. The role requires an up to date and solid working knowledge of superannuation and investment markets. This knowledge would need to include an understanding of Equipsuper’s investment processes, superannuation plus member benefits, with a view to highlighting the group’s comparative advantages to the market place.

Executive Assistant

Melbourne 

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to work closely with the CEO, Executive Officer Governance and Risk, and the Executive Officer Capability & Enablement. To be successful in the role, you must be highly driven, professional, energetic and well able to handle a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks with little or no supervision. You must also be highly organized, a problem solver and able to multitask so that you can keep up with the fast pace of the organisation

Key responsibilities are:

  • Manage all forms of communication to and from the CEO
  • Act as a key liaison point for the CEO's direct reports and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the CEO's diary including scheduling / rescheduling meetings and appointments
  • Manage the organisation of internal and external meetings
  • Draft high quality communications on behalf of the CEO
  • Plan and schedule the CEO's travel arrangements
  • Fully support executive meetings including the preparation of agendas and minutes
  • Prepare client usage reports, management reports, finance reports etc
  • Manage the relevant team members to prepare reports and presentations for the CEO

This is a diverse role working for a highly driven CEO. As such, you will have at least 5 years-experience in providing support at an executive level, a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, be able to appropriately prioritise competing activities and, be a highly driven self-starter. You will also be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, have a strong customer service focus, and display a meticulous attention to accuracy and detail in your daily activities and in the achievement of deadlines.
